The standard converter on the home page operates entirely within your browser. It does not upload your PDF documents to our servers. Conversion happens locally on your computer using PDF.js, the same engine Firefox uses to render PDFs.

The optional Convert with Images / OCR mode is different: when you deliberately use that feature, the selected file is securely sent to our server-side OCR provider for processing. Use the standard converter for sensitive documents that contain selectable text and must remain on your device.

Because the conversion process runs locally in your browser, we collect very limited information:
